Life is thought to be too sweet,
Too great, too good to miss.
But now I know that those who stray
Do not agree with this.
They know the end's too bleak to hope,
Too black, too doomed to save.
They wish that we, the living, Could see why that step they gave.
Though common men may not praise Death,
In comparing Life, I could.
Having ventured off this road myself,
I'll admit that Death...was good.
